The Quezon City Government, in partnership with the Quezon City Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (QC-CCESD) and the Quezon City Gender and Development Council, recently held the “Padyak ng mga Kababaihan para sa Kalikasan” event to encourage female bikers to take part in environmental efforts during Women’s Month. The event aimed to prove that girls can make significant contributions to the preservation of our environment. Over 300 participants joined the event, and the first 300 who exchanged their recyclables with at least eight (8) PET bottles received freebies and had the chance to win a brand new bike. The event was not only a fun-filled day for female bikers, but it also served as an opportunity for the community to come together and contribute to environmental efforts. The event emphasized the importance of waste management and how simple actions such as proper segregation of waste and recycling can have a significant impact on the environment.

The Padyak ng mga Kababaihan para sa Kalikasan event in Quezon City was a great success in promoting gender equality and environmental sustainability. The event showed that women can make a difference in environmental efforts and that small actions, such as exchanging recyclables for prizes, can have a significant impact on our environment. By bringing the community together to promote eco-friendly practices, events like these serve as a reminder of the importance of taking care of our environment and the role we all play in preserving it.
